A few weeks later, Baird was drinking in the main bar at VNB with Cole when Pvt.Samantha Byrne came by and tried to get him to come and play navy chess with her and CPO Franck Muller, but he refused. Cole told him he was never going to get any action if he treated all the women like that, but Baird dismissed the idea. When Bernie arrived with her new dog, Mac, that would help her hunt Stranded Insurgents, Baird refused to rise to her bait when she warned him not to hump the dog's leg. He then headed out with her and Cole to put Mac to the test.[1]
