Regarding the Quote[]

When did Ben.Carmine talk about fire?--Jack Black 22:51, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Ben never actually says it, Dom refers to him saying it. It happens when you first find the Schorcher in New Hope (the chapter is Dirty Little Secret). --EightyOne (talk) 23:10, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Manufacturer[]

The COG is listed as the manufacturer in the Product Info., but the article says the the Locust is the manufacturer. Unless someone else can prove otherwise, I'm affiliating the Scorcher with the Locust. --Azncutthroat 13:43, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that the Scorcher IS a COG weapon. I see a sleek, blue-silver metal design, like that of the COG. If it were Locust, I would see brown-red metal with a somewhat crude, bulky appearance. We all know that the Locust steal COG weaponry for their own use (i.e. Lancer), I believe this case is no different. Zdeath13 01:07, May 12, 2010 (UTC)
The concept are says it a Stranded weapon, but concept changes in the final drawing board.--Chairman Jack the Black 01:36, May 12, 2010 (UTC)
Not to say anyone is wrong, but from my own personal input, I'd have to agree with Zdeath13. Every single locust manufactured weapon in the Gears of War series always bears the same destinctly bulky shape, brown-red coloration, and usually bears the mark of the locust horde (the cross-like symbol)... essentially, it looks almost alien when comapred to human tech. While grenadier/boomer flame tanks and helmets are very obviously designed by the horde for proper handling this weapon, it bears a crude yet obviously human design when compared to any locust firearm. Due to what Dom says about looking like the stranded were using the New Hope facility (where one is found lying on the ground, unused), it is quite plausible that it is, in fact, COG or stranded designed. (and, the facility security systems also use Flame Throwers). It has human-practical implications, like a handle on the top, things that all of the locust weapons lack. While this doesn't necessarily solve the riddle, since Epic never said in the material (like the mulcher), it's really up to us to figure out. -Vielus
I also think that it's a COG weapon rather than a locust weapon. As you can check the boltok, gorgon, hammerburst, boomshot, torque bow and boomshield are all with the locust emblem. Besides, I guess the stranded may not have the tech to create a sophisticated weapon (except incendiary grenade), it should be reasonable to name the scorcher a COG weapon rather than locust's.
