Who Is She?[]

I'm pretty sure that the Locusts Queen is the "person" wearing the robes in the final cutscene that rides away on the large reaver, as the armor is almost an hourglass shape.

No that "person" is skorge. You can tell because he is riding his hydra reaver.

i also argee being that she is wearing cape

Some think the queen is marcus's mother.

I think she was one of the sciencists in the lab on the mountain where the sires in captivity. I think in the game the say the lab facility became declassified and the reason it became declassified was the past leader kept it a secret. the Queen was one of the sciencists that tried to make soldiers into a breed of super soldiers for the Pendulum Wars, but instead created sire and the Government or the head of the lab facility was going to shd destroy the locust since the program was a failier. But the Myrrah wanted to save them and believe they were the future. So, she created locust by improving the sire's genetics and marcus's father was a friend or lover of Myrrah who helped train and develop the locust to be killing machines. Myrrah became the Queen because she created and raised the first batch of loscust. User:Vicgear

Correction of the mispelt word 'penudium wars' to 'Pendulum Wars' - Aiden J. Smith 12:15, 18 January 2011 (GMT) - Note - I don't own an account at this time.

maybe she is a sire, but a female version--The x reaper 16:57, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Just a visitor but avid Gears fan, but could the story of Romily possibly be based on Myrrah's past? The personality traits of Romily match Myrrah, and maybe the Locust could have raised her as their queen.

Picture[]

can some one please get a pic of the queen????? we all know what lvl shes in but i dont have a SC tool so :/ anyones? plz and ty

    • Good job on who ever uploaded the pic. It really improve the article.--Jack Black 22:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Chain of Command[]

The second paragraph of the intro section reads: The Chain of Command in the Locust army seems similar to that of an ant colony, or a bee hive.

Is this completely true? I haven't played GoW that much, but it appears that the Locusts have a Chain of Command with a hierarchy, as described here. Therefore, it's not similar to that of "an ant colony, or bee hive", because ants, bees, termites, etc. have only one leader, to which they are completely obedient, and sacrificial if necessary.

Your thoughts? Sebastian32 10:01, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Fixed a IP few days back been trying to put info that Locust are just like ants thanks for the catching that.--Jack Black 13:37, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Np :) Sebastian32 21:19, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Well the locust are like a bee hive or a Ant colony because large numbers but for the ants and bees the females arnt genocidal monsters that firearms cant take down Bryan Carmine 01:35, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Cleanup: Speculation[]

This whole article seems based on theories and speculation. As an encyclopedia article, we should try to stay away from that... However, there isn't much factual information about the Queen. Perhaps we should cut out the speculation in the sections we can, and have a solid article, then include a section about with all the theories, etc.? Your thoughts? Sebastian32 08:13, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

No theories if it gets out of control like the Sires page I will put a lock on it.--Jack Black 08:17, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
The majority of the article is already based on theory. Here are some examples:
  • ...stronger than I thought.", perhaps hinting that she is not of the Locust herself.
  • heard at the end of Gears of War 2, suggesting a sequel.
  • with a narration, revealing she may have survived and therefore hinting at a Gears of War 3.
Sebastian32 08:23, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
The issue of theories is on her origins like if she is Ruth or an other Human. But common sense say she will be in GoW3.But this page needs a major clean up.--Jack Black 08:26, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
This sounds like a good idea. By the way, my own friends had a theory that she is a female sire. If I get a better picture of a sire, I might be able to prove this. EvilLouie13

How is she the Locust Queen and I thought she was supposed to be butt ugly?[]

Has anybody else's bullshit dectector just go off when the queen was supposed to look like General RAAM? Who thinks that, if you think that the queen was to be ugly please let me know.

Thanks, xxxBuster775xxx

The talk page is NOT a forum.--Jack Black 00:58, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

sorry about that man this is my first time being on the discussion part of the page. And again sorry man

why would some think that the Loucst Queen is Fenix's mother??? But the thing that still gets me is that, how does the locust queen know how that Marcus was the son of Adam Fenix(a.k.a. his Father) and what was he doing when the loucst computers as well??? does that question float in anybodys head when marcus is talking to the queen.

Please sign your comments and Marcus mother is Elaine Fenix who is confirm dead. Source 'Gears of War: Aspho Fields page 375'.--Jack Black 12:31, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

but still why at the end of Gears Of War 2, we did we hear the voice of Adam Fenix at the end of the credits.

We don't know the answer to that. Please post your question(s) in the forum for discussion. And, like Jack said, sign your posts please. --blue.insanity.child. 2:16, April 3rd, 2009. (UTC)

Who is the leader of the COG Facilty again? Is it you Jack or is it Blue. And this is not a question but i just need to know who is in charge. That is all.

I really Hate[]

The Locust Theory on the queen being human since she speaks English. Tyran is one of many languages in Gears of War series.--Jack Black 20:50, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I know this is 7 years late, but tough luck on not liking that "theory" that turned out to be 100% true. Noticed how Adam died to the imulsion removing bomb but not The Queen? She's a full human descendant of one of the scientists that worked at the New Hope facility, speaking like she's from a similar area as Niles. 64.121.162.25 14:58, June 18, 2016 (UTC)Lol

Promotions and Positions in the Locust Army[]

Has anyone else realized that the specific locust that have special traits have been promoted to generals and body guards, depending on their unique ability? General RAAM was big and tough, but one of the main reasons he was feared was because he had the ability to communicate with the kryll, and command them as a deadly weapon and strong shield. Skorge was also possibly promoted as the new general/queen's bodyguard because of his very useful ability to communicate with the riftworm. Although this does not explain why the queen is, the queen So, why is she in her high position as queen of the locust army? - Lame-Locust 00:14, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

"RAAM spent only one yar as a drone and quickly proved himself in the elite Theron guard. cunning and ambitious, within only a few shorts years he usurped the military leadership of the Locust horde." Art of Gears of War. Skorge became the Queens fav because he was the only one that could end the war in matter of months with the Riftworm. RAAM seem like regular general, but the Kryll thing. Maybe him and the Queen has the ability to communicate via the mind. Remember the scene when Kim is killed.--Jack Black 00:27, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it was rumored and highly speculated that RAAM and Myrrah both had telepathic abilities. -Lame-Locust 02:31, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

I belive that thing on her back might be a commuinicator between her and the Locust. Or, for people who beileive that thing on her back is special, it may not be. It is tradtional for queens to wear this robe with a hood. For instance the queen in sleeping beauty, only the queen's robe is alive. Because Locust are creepy. Oh, if you copy and paste the picture of Ruth and the Locust Queen together, the look the same. That's who I think the queen is.

On the issue with robes and sleeping beauty. What are you talking about? I never seen a queen with a hood. Current queens wear dresses and the queens of the enlighten area and medieval age had this. But beside that If the queen is Ruth I will not comment unless Epic released that info in a form of a statement/game ect. But I always wonder if that is a bug on her back maybe we can find a Character designer thats a concept art for it.--Jack Black 14:30, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Maybe, you know what I meant with hood. Watch that video I gave you of the Locust queen in HD. You might find something. I saw that the Queen is wearing this chest plat that is attatched to the bug. I am going to try to find a concept of the queen if I can. --Gearslover01 14:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC) over and out!

Reference/Trivia[]

Mentioning how similar she is to Kerrigan from starcraft might be mentionworthy, they're almost identical really.

I disagree. The Sires were modified, where as the zerg mutated Kerrigan. And, please, SIGN YOUR POST! Also, Kerrigan's infestation was reversed, where as Myrrah is and always will be human/sire hybrid (Not sure, but it seems like the general idea.) 12.189.255.94 22:57, March 12, 2012 (UTC)

Name change?[]

Should we change the page to just Myrrah. My reason real world kings and queens don't used there titles in there articles.

--JacktheBlackCOGskull 16:03, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

I think we should do it eventually, but for now we should keep the Queen because I don't know how many people know the Locust Queen's name is Myrrah, so it provides a connection between the game and the outside information. If we don't though, we should keep it in the opening paragraph because our character articles tend to have their titles with their names when first being introduced. BuzzSawBill 04:47, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

So this is the real world then? no offense what does credits say Bryan Carmine 01:42, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Unique Appearance[]

I love it. It cuts down on the speculation and give mention on her "human" appearance.--Chairman Jack the BlackCOGskull 18:49, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. Also, even though I summed it up pretty good, if you have anything to add about her personality, I'm drawing a blank at the moment. BuzzSawBill 18:53, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
    • Well she'd justified the genocide of the human race doe to her race being whipped out by the Lambent, so in a way she can be a "racist".--Chairman Jack the BlackCOGskull 18:54, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Thing on the Queens back[]

Yeah bad subject title whatever, the large object mounted over her back and shoulders looks allot like the Leviathan you fight in the only water mission. If you removed it's head just behind where the first segment of it's body is, took out the belly and made it human size it looks like it would fit over her. I dunno if this is supposed to be symbolic of her power, a nice accessory or whatever. The only other thing I can think of it being would be some sort of extension of her brain in a way similar to the leader of underground race in the movie "Time Machine", but that isn't really confirmable. Dunno if it's appearance and similarity to the leviathan is worth stating in the article or not, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.Aryeonos 09:17, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

I was under the impression it resembled the back of a Berserker, meaning she was something of an intelligent one of their kind. Perhaps when Berserkers are born, one can be chosen to become a queen.
That Damn Sniper, sniping. 21:45, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
I think it looks like the back of a Sire which goes along with the theory that she was one of the experiments that went to Mount Kadar Chris-the-killer 20:52, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe, like Skorge can control the Hydra, she controled the laviathan mnuj12 18:17 June 10 2010

My theory[]

I believe the Locust queen is someone like Ruth who was experimented on at the New Hope Research Facility. When she was brought down she took control of the sires (being as she was more of a sire than the humans were) and wiped out the scientists who were with them as revenge for her pain and missery. She then took the sires down the tunnels of Mount Kadar and from there they mutated into the locusts. Chris-the-killer 20:45, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

New Model[]

The OXM is in, looks like she'll be a playable character in Gears 3, her new look is awesome, but it makes her look too human. I'm hoping her new look is just for multiplayer and her old model is for campaign. She isn't as pale and she lost all the tenetacles thing, I think it was just a hood or something and not a parasite, who ever gets the OXM report first needs to add her new info. --Gearslover01 01:28, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

The talk page is not a forum. But we don't know if it IS her until the article is released.--Chairman Jack the BlackCOGskull 01:51, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

what happened to the queen[]

well I know that she is alive because she escaped at the end of Gears 2, but what do you think will happen in Gears 3? (86.43.190.226 15:58, April 18, 2011 (UTC))

Pictures of her has been shown in battle armor. She will be leader in multiplayer and as such will probably play a combat role equal to Raam or Skorge in campaign. Hope that answers your question. TheExiledGear 10:40, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Is this Marcus's mom?[]

Okay, she looks human, I know that Marcus's dad and his mom apparently "died "in the hollow place so does that mean that somehow that's his mom im serious (but probably wrong)Killa boy 12:02, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Think of how zombies are, you might get a clue. O_O 13:11, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Human?[]

At the end of Gears 3, Myrrah is unaffected by Adam Fenix's weapon while the rest of the Horde is wiped out with the Lambent. It also seems like her Locust features in the second game were just part of her wardrobe, since she doesn't have them in Gears 3. Unfortunately, they chose not to reveal her true nature in the game, but this seems to suggest she may actually be human.--Darth Oblivion 05:11, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

What is Baird quote about her?--JacktheBlack 12:49, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

I just finished GoW3 so Bairds quote is still fresh in my mind AHEM "So whats with this Myrrah anyway. She looks human enough, did she join the Locust band wagon for shits and giggles?" Maybe this isnt the last Gears of War I mean remember Halo Reach when Bungie said that was the last and the next year Halo 4 and Anniveresery (cant spell)was annouced. So this might be explained in a supposed next GoW? sorry just a quick theory. Igx Vermillion 13:10, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Myrrah is human. She speaks fluent Tyran, and she looks exactly like a normal person (eyes are human, nose like a person, mouth, teeth, tongue, everything about here is 100% human.) ---User:Gears4Life

Its actually "So whats with this Myrrah anyway. She looks human enough, did she join the Locust country club for shits and giggles?" ~jacksparrow007

It was the last halo by Bungie, then they gave the title to 343 Industries.

O_O 13:13, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

What's the fret? The talk page is (most of the time) an area of debate, and that's what we're doing, right?O_O 19:06, September 30, 2011 (UTC)
Read the talkheader, this talk page is for how to improve the article not engage in a forum conversation. --JacktheBlack 19:19, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

The fact that she isn't affected by Adam Fenix's locust/lambent killing pulse weapon pretty much confirms she's human. Kind of bush league that this wasn't explored further, though. Matt 2108 23:28, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Or maybe she's been cooped up in that palace forever and there was no lambent infection in her body. I mean, maybe Myrah has always known about the infection, and the locust horde has known too, and the monarchery nobles are kept from it. She could be human, who knows. It will be reavealed soon, however.--Only the faithless will perish, but those without cannot be punished. 04:15, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Can't any of you guys read the talkheader? This is not a forum!--JacktheBlack 06:44, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
I think she may still be a locust, it's not like every last locust was exactly the same in terms of genetics, many could've survived the weapons effects, honestly, it's improbable that all of the locust died, there are still minorly mutated everythings alive, who's to say that some locust didn't have a rare mutation that didn't allow any of their cells, or, only about as many as humans had to be colonized by imulsion, so, chances are, there are freak locust still on Sera, maybe the queen had this mutation, allowing her to survive the weapons effect. how did queen myrrah you know become queen

Gears Origins Theory[]

Honestly, here's my thoughts:

Queen Myrrah and Adam Fenix worked together as partners in science and discovered the locust underground along with other species of creatures: Brumacks, Reavers, Corpsers, etc. Myrrah saw potential in the locust and helped them escape the poisonous imulsion. While Adam wanted to destroy them by leaving them to the imulsion, Queen Myrrah then rejected humanity and stayed with the locust. She then lead a revolution against the ground walkers with the locust having her as their Queen. Then there was the discovery of imulsion and the effects it had on creatures, so this pushed the locust to conquer the humans quicker to escape their toxic environment. Then lambent became a new force to deal with. RAAM and Skorge were powerful due to their physical qualities (being bigger and stronger than regular locusts), and the fact they have special powers to control creatures like the riftworm and kryll.

The Slab[]

Any objections to adding that Queen Myrrah is in fact HUMAN/SERAN please state so before I'd edit the page. My evidences that the Queen is human comes from the newest novel the Slab.

“Adam, you knew this day would come.”

It was a familiar voice: silky, imperial, polished, and utterly human.

“Hello, Myrrah.” Adam Fenix found himself thinking of the terrible Locust food again. “You got my message, then.”

“And how right you were. We do need you. And we shall take you. I hope you’re not planning anything foolish. You have responsibilities, Adam.”

It would be a living death. The Locust Queen would never release him, even if he developed a countermeasure. But he didn’t deserve any better.

“I also have my service pistol.”

“And I can take your son at any time.”

He had the measure of her, then, and she had his. “You leave Marcus out of this. It’s a condition.” He opened the desk drawer and took out the handgun, a 9mm officer’s weapon. It made a distinctive clunk on the wooden desktop as he slammed it down. “If anything happens to him, I don’t care what happens to the rest of Sera.”

--JacktheBlack 03:27, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

The evidence was always there. Myrrah was 100% human from the beginning. The voice, appearance, and fluent Tyran were major clues. Anyone who doubted her human origin before, obviously doesn't know much about human qualities/traits.----User:Gears4Life

Hey guys, sorry this is REALLY off topic, but am i the only person tired of reading these discussions and then seeing some guy say "the talk page is for page fixes not discussions" just saying, it annoys the crap out of me.

she is human because the machine Adam buit doesnt work on her like the Queen of Blade in Starcraft which human being capture and brain wash to be the leader?
