Rig D28, or "Marilyn", was an Assault Derrick that took part in Operation: Hollow Storm. It was driven by Pvt. Henny and carried Sigma Squad during the Assault on Landown.

Road to Landown[]
During the drive to Landown, Henny rescued Rig 314 and Delta-One by positioning Rig D28 to allow Sigma-One to provide covering fire until repairs to Rig 314 were finished.[2]
Assault on Landown[]
After reaching Landown, Rig D28 once again saved Rig 314 and Delta by having their Centaur escort take out a Trokia nest that had them pinned down.[3] During Skorge's counterattack, Henny was killed but Sigma-One was able to set the grindlifts and descend into the Hollows.[4] What happens to Rig D28 after that is unknown.
Behind the scenes[]
- Interestingly enough, the rig's name, D28, isn't shown on the exterior of the Rig. R15 is instead displayed on the exterior. This is most noticeable at the end of Rolling Thunder.
