Jan Rojas was a Gear soldier and father, who fought in Alpha Squad during the Lightmass Offensive.

Biography

Early life

All that is known of Rojas early life is that he had two brothers, one of whom was killed fighting the Locust, was married, and that he had a son. A week before the Lightmass Offensive began, his son turned two.

Lightmass Offensive

During the Lightmass Offensive, Rojas was assigned to Alpha Squad. They were deployed to help protect and deploy the resonator. During the offensive, several members of Alpha are killed, and he and Pvt.Augustus Cole were separated from the rest of the squad. Rojas was killed in the House of Sovereigns. When Delta Squad finds his body, it appears to have been possibly eaten by Wretches. The news of his death is shown to have a strong toll on many of his friends, including Augustus Cole and Damon Baird.

Legacy

A week after the Lightmass Offensive, Jan's younger brother Federic Rojas joins Delta during the Evacuation of North Gate. Dom notes that Federic looks and sounds exactly like Jan.

Personality and Traits

The fact that Cpl.Dominic Santiago, expresses concern about Rojas and knows how old Rojas' son is indicates that he and Dom might be friends. Along with the fact that both Cole and Baird was dismayed at his death.
