Coalition AP ( All Purpose ) Ground Infantry Armor:
The AP Armor is the standard issue armor in the COG Army. It is worn by most of the characters in the Game-In The COG Side.

- Pvt. Anthony Carmine
- Pvt. Damon Baird
- Pvt. Redshirt Gyules
-Most Normal Sized Gear's Although It Is Seen That Dom Marcus And Cole Have their Own Privite Armor Variants This May be Due To Their Larger Size In Muscle And Bulk.
It is also seen throughout the game on dead Coalition Soldiers such as the three dead soldiers found at the begining of Ashes: Fish in a Barrel. It has a light blue shade with a black Crimson Omen imprinted on the front. The Omen is Located between two large black circles that are found on all of the gears armor. From looking at a lot of the Characters, like Dizzy, Dom, and Hoffman, the circles can be used to carry ammunition possibly by using magnets. The AP also has an attachment on the back that looks somewhat like a backpack. It may be used to carry supplies but so far has enabled Gears to carry Weapons on their backs-And In Recent Studies the Gear Soldiers Preform their front and back flip rolls to avoide gun fire. The rest of the body is covered in similarly colored armor, as well as pouches for magazines an other supplies. the armor has Many variations of Helmets. The common variation is worn by Carmine and Gyules Etc... but a second helmets is seen on the Gear that is executed by RAAM as well as the Gear throwing up blood at the Raven Crash in Act Four, Chapter One. In The Miniture Book that comes with gears 2 Special Edition That Had Been Leaked in a Game Site-Many Variations Of COG Helmet Armor Exist-Including add on such as Binoculars, and Extra Lensings Bulkier Helmets Also Exist But Have Not Been Seen Since The Pendulam Wars.
Also As Seen in the Picture Above For The pre-Gear Body armor Designs The gear Body Armor was To have a Full Face Visor Perhapes to Improve Vison But Due To The Redesign Gear May have a Hard Time Seeing From Behind. Although the Armor Is Very Bulky and Protective To Smashing Up Against Walls-To Falling From Very High Cave Caverns as seen in Act 3 The Armor Cannot Be Protected Against AP Rounds But Can Provide Enough Protection Long Enough To Find Cover under Heavy Fire Without Failing and Letting It's User Die. The Body Armor Also Seems To Be Very Easy To Fit Into-In The Beginning Of the Story In ' Gears of war Campaign Dom had Brought Marcus a Duffel Bag With Full Body armor Minus the helmet Marcus as seen in the cutscene hadn't any armor on nor clothes as seen, Marcus Took No less then a Minute to put on all of the armor in the bag.
