The Deadlands was one of several wastelands created by the Hammer of Dawn counterattack and the Locust War. Despite being frequented by sandstorms, the Deadlands became the new home for the Savage Locust.[1]

Lambent Pandemic[]
After the Hollow was flooded, some of the remaining Locust went savage, and made the Deadlands their new home. They built bases and trenches into the Deadlands in an attempt to resemble their former home in the Hollow. Delta-One made their way through the Deadlands in the Battle of the Deadlands in order to steal a Gas Barge to reach Anvil Gate. The Deadlands were later cleared of all Locust forces when the Imulsion Countermeasure Weapon detonated and killed all Locust and Lambent as well as Imulsion.[1]
