Siege of Anvil GateEdit
In 17 B.E., Connaught Platoon was stationed in the city of Anvegad, at the garrison of Anvil Gate. They were under the command of Lt. Victor Hoffman, with Sgt. Samuel Byrne serving as the Platoon commander. After being stationed there for four months, alongside detachments from Prince Ozore's Artillery and the 2nd Battalion Royal Ephyran Engineers, Kashkur was invaded by the Union of Independent Republics. The fort came under siege, with Anvegad Pass being blocked, cutting them off from the rest of the country. The Gears in the platoon scouted the area around the fort, trying to find the saboteurs who had blocked the path and attacked the fort with RPGs, but failed. A group of Gears from the platoon assisted in responding to CC-Seventy-Four-Five being shot down. The platoon later fought in an ambush launched on a group of Indie soldiers who were let into the fort during Hoffman's fake surrender, and took several casualties, including Byrne.
