Doctor Alex Mayfield was a Coalition of Ordered Governments scientist who worked on Azura.

While working on Azura, Mayfield led a team that focused on potential soil restoration techniques that could be used to restore Seras farmlands. He presented his team’s findings during a lecture on the 17th day of Thaw in the West Library Multipurpose Hall. Mayfield and the rest of the research staff and civilians on Azura were killed when the Locust captured the island.^[1]
