[edit] Plot
The APC in this game's storyline is found by Baird in Act 4. It was located in the back courtyard area of the house of Marcus Fenix's father, East Barricade Academy. At first, its condition did not allow it to be of any use, so while Marcus and Dom searched the house, Baird and Cole were ordered to fix it.
[edit] Structure
The APC is heavily armored and contains multiple seats (probably for at least 4 soldiers). Like other 'APC' type vehicles seen in the game, the soldiers enter from a bay door in the front. The APC also has six wheels, like other models. Its armor plating structure is similar to that of Laverne except that its armor is much more complete and doesn't expose its passengers. The APC also has distinct COG decals such as the Gears symbol imprinted on the front door. In the rear, it has a slot for robotics like JACK and is seen in the end of Act 4 when JACK was stored in a small cubicle. The APC also appears to have armaments seen in the side of the armor.
[edit] Weapons/Armaments
It appears to have several side turrets with an unidentified type of weaponry attached. It is not yet clear what type of weapon these guns are, but they are clearly visible in the opening cut scene to Act 5. The weapons are mounted on rotating turrets on each side. Nothing esle is known besides the general appearance of the guns. Below these main weapons on the turret are mounted 4 grenade launchers[1] presumeably used for defense.
[edit] Trivia
- In any multiplayer map, an APC is seen behind each team's spawning position, implying that each squad of soldiers drove to the arena on one.
- On the front of every APC, the number 42 is on them. Maybe this might be a reference to the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy where the number 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/42_(number)
